The 2025 edition of the Ramadan Soccer Fiesta came to a thrilling end with Tanzui community emerging as champions after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Soe in the grand finale.
The tournament, which kicked off on April 1st, featured 24 communities battling it out for glory. Tanzui’s journey to the top was anything but easy. They first brushed aside Zongo in the quarterfinals before edging past Yagzore in the semis to book their place in the final.
Soe, on the other hand, came into the final with growing confidence and a strong reputation, having knocked out two of the tournament’s favorites—Zaare in the quarterfinals and Pobaga in the semis. Many had tipped them to go all the way, but Tanzui had other plans.
After a goalless first half in the final, Tanzui came back stronger in the second half, scoring two quick goals. Though Soe managed to pull one back, it wasn’t enough to stop Tanzui from lifting the coveted title.
